Bills’ Backyard Vineyards was started with the belief that friendship and wine went hand in hand. My wife of almost 50 years has written these words on the label of our wines -
“AS WE JOURNEY THROUGH LIFE IT IS THE PEOPLE AND OUR RELATIONSHIPS WITH THEM THAT MATTER THE MOST. WE ARE SO BLESSED TO HAVE SUPPORTIVE, LOVING FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO MAKE OUR JOURNEY FUN AND MEANINGFUL”
We have journeyed with friends that always included great wine. So in 2012 with this theme we planted our first vineyard in my backyard. Many friends captured by this story of friendship came and helped plant our first vineyard. The story has grown. We now have a second vineyard in my son’s backyard. This journey would be incomplete if I did not affirm my love and my two best friends, Bert and Peter. Come enjoy wine and friendship.

“I had my last bit of your Backyard Vineyards wine last night – and for the first time on its own – and my only disappointment is that I do not have any more. That said, I got to finally taste it in its most pure form. It has fantastic dark fruit flavor initially (I would call it a “punch”) with a bit of a peppery taste after. I was going to share it with some friends a while back, but I decided to keep it for myself and enjoy a glass with a few meals. It held its own with a spiced-up ribeye I grilled and still had the softness and versatility to pair well with some cod and asparagus I made a few days later.
Great job with the 2017; it is a winner!” - Stephen S.
